Subject: A modest proposal

Hello,

First of all, I'd like to thank you for helping make my re-acclimation to the waking world as painless a process as could be hoped. I consider myself to be fully recovered from my mysterious ordeal and ready to take on the world again.

And, it seems, the world is ready, as well. A number of sources with whom I've reestablished contact all indicate that whatever slump or downturn experienced in recent years by the supernatural world-- in particular, the segment involved with the illegal, immoral and evil-- is over. There is work to be done, and I would like to invite you to discuss with me how to go about it.

Please reply with your interest (I've blind copied this, in respect for those who might wish to decline) and we will arrange a time and place to meet. Also, if you can think of any other like-minded and trustworthy individuals with whom you think we might share this task, please let me know.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,

Wesley Wyndam-Pryce

Wesley,

Only you could manage to sound that stuffy in an e-mail. Really, lighten up! I don't know who else you sent that to, but you don't have to be that formal with me.

Okay, so unless I'm translating wrong, I take it you're wanting to start up a version of Angel Investigations again? We'd started to do that when we first moved back here, but then Angel moved to New York with Darla and Kara for a while and it's kind of gone into limbo until he gets back, so I'm game to help out however you need me. Someone's got to deal with my visions until Angel gets back to L.A., and so far it's just been me and Lindsey handling them. It would be nice to have more help again. They've been pretty tame so far, but who knows how long that will last?

Speaking of Lindsey, I know you're already scowling at your monitor, but just hear me out. He's not involved with Wolfram & Hart any longer, and he has a lot of knowledge and research that could help us. Plus, he's a good fighter and he knows some magic. You should give him a chance.

Of course, there's no guarantee I'll be able to convince him to do it, but it's worth a shot. He really needs to get out of the house.

... don't tell him I said that, okay?

Anyway, count me in and let me know when and where you want to meet about it. And who else are you asking? The whole blind copying thing has me curious.

Talk to you soon!

Love,
Cordy

Hi,

Well, I can personally attest to you being fully recovered at least physically. Everything seemed to be in working order last time I saw you anyway.

I'll assume you're not including me in the illegal and immoral segment that is over. I doubt that will ever be over in my life. *smirk* Just sayin'. I still have quite a few contacts in the demon underground that you can use in your adventures if you have no problems going to the seedier side.

If you're asking me to be Sancho Panza to your Don Quixote tilting at windmills, I'll give it a shot. I've always wanted to be a superhero. I even have the cool outfit to go with it. Just tell me when and where, I'll readjust any meetings with clients that I might have.

Wesley,

I'm interested.

I know some people--the transgenics I mentioned to you when we met--but they kind of have their own private war going on here in Seattle, so.

But seeing as I'm pretty much useless to them and getting discouraged with the Eyes Only thing, I'm free. And interested. Don't know how much help I'll be when it comes to killing demons or whatever (ones that don't live in computers, I mean), but, yeah, we can talk.

Let me know when and where.

- Logan
