Gwen hadn't realized that her muscles had been tense with the question until Wesley answered it and they relaxed. She was so used to hiding behind a mask without showing much emotion that she hadn't been aware of doing the same thing to herself.
"I guess it probably isn't very noble of me to say I'm glad it's different but then I don't think I've ever been noble."
It also probably wouldn't have been very nice to play dirty against a recently returned dead girl, but then again Gwen wasn't very nice either.
