From: Fiona Tattersall, Watcher
Priority: HIGHEST
Subject: Wesley Wyndam-Pryce
Mr. Giles,
I regret to inform you and the Council that I can now confirm the preliminary intelligence sent to us by our contacts in Los Angeles. Former Watcher Wesley Wyndam-Pryce died yesterday, along with the vampires known as "Angel" and "Spike", as well as their associates.
While our first reports were vague, I was able to locate and secure Mr. Wyndam-Pryce's apartment before it was ransacked by Los Angeles Police, investigating a "mysterious murder". I can only assume that Mr. Wyndam-Pryce was expecting a Watcher or other associated party to be interested in his death, as he left a number of clues that would point anyone trained at Academy to the hidden safe in his rooms.
I was also able to complete a cursory examination of Mr. Wyndam-Pryce's journals before packing the pertinent materials in preparation for my imminent return to Scotland for forensic analysis. It appears that, despite their employment with Wolfram & Hart, Angel's group was still engaged in battling evil, and on a far larger scale than any in the Council have surmised.
Wyndam-Pryce and the group perished yesterday during a concerted, multiple-fronted effort to destroy the Circle of the Black Thorn, the earthly apparatus of the "Senior Partners" of Wolfram & Hart. Mr. Wyndam-Pryce was murdered during a confrontation with the Circle's foremost sorceror, one Cyvus Vail. According to what little of the official crime scene descriptions I could read, it would appear Mr. Wyndam-Pryce succeeded in his assignment, as did the others
Precisely how Angel, Spike and their associates perished is still somewhat uncertain, thought Wyndam-Pryce's journals indicate they expected the Senior Partners to launch a reprisal for their actions that none of them would survive. I will debrief you and the Council fully upon my return to Headquarters.
-Fiona Tattersall
P.S. On a personal note, Mr. Wyndam-Pryce's father, Roger Wyndam-Pryce was one of my instructors not long before the previous Council's destruction. In regards to him, I would like to request to be present when he is informed of his son's demise. I would like him to know Wesley died well. Thank you. FT

OOC: On a much lighter note, I rarely get to use this mood icon, and I've just now realized that the person who made it saw the word "exanimate" and thought it was "examine it". *LOL*
