((A letter, written just after the events of the episode "Smile Time", discarded in the incinerator directly after the events of "Shells". Locked from Fred.))

Dear Roger and Trish Mr. and Mrs. Burkle,

I'm afraid you'll have to forgive me the formality of the address, and most likely, the tone of this letter. This missive is something I am taking very seriously and when it comes to such things, I truly believe that there are proper ways to go about doing them.

I would like to ask you for your daughter's, Winifred's, hand in marriage.

Now, I understand well that while your first and only visit to Los Angeles ended on a very positive note, and with quite warm and affectionate feelings on both sides, that you will more than likely not feel that it was of sufficient length to get to know this fellow, myself, who is seeking to become Fred's fiancée. Allow me to introduce myself formally and give you a better idea of my background and prospects as a potential suitor, so you may make a completely informed decision.

My full name is Wesley Wyndam-Pryce, and I was born in Great Britain. My family, along both patriarchal and matriarchal lines has been Watchers for centuries. After a stint as a Rogue Demon Hunter, I became associated with Angel Investigations. The serving of the greater good and the protection of the innocent souls that these evils so easily destroy have always been guiding principles for my life.

If you will allow me to be less than modest, I am exceptionally intelligent (though I would not classify myself anywhere near Fred's exceptional genius), unwaveringly loyal and utterly, utterly devoted to your daughter.

I will await your response before officially proposing to Fred.

Yours truly,
Wesley Wyndam-Pryce

P.S. I'm not entirely sure why I am committing this folly to paper, especially as I have no intention to deliver it-- at least not in the immediate future, and not without serious revision and perfecting. Still, I will keep the souvenir.
